Honestly, the information is well portrayed and organized however, most of it is beginner info and very basic. For more advanced information that is kept up to date I would suggest a dynamic guide like the one found on http://www.hiddenstuff.com/
It was a good reference until the last 3.1 update. I can still use it to check out which areas to go to at which level and look up little info like certain bosses and quests. They need to come out with a new one thanks to the huge changes this last update brought.
I'm still on the look out for a good compainion with World of Warcraft for a semi-experienced player. It has some helpful hints in it. Not too impressed with this guide. I want more raid strategies and heroic instance tips. Although they are mainly targeted towards completely new players. For example how to decide on a race/class. This isn't for me. :(
This book isn't as concise as I would have liked. It does have a significant amount of information, but as a player most of it was useless to me. The biggest problem is that much of it is out of date due to constant updates.
I didn't find this book to be formatted in a useful way. There was no logic to the layout, and as a newbie to the game, I found it difficult to find the information I needed. I gave it two stars because I was at least able to use some of the maps.
